Edwina Birch
B.Sc(Hons), M.A.(Hons.)(ClinPsych), M.A.Ps.S
Edwina Birch founded Sutherland Psychology in 2007 after working in private practice in the Sutherland Shire for 14 years. Prior to this she has worked in hospitals, community health, Sutherland child adolescent and family mental health service, and vocational rehabilitation.
After many years as a Clinical Psychologist Edwina is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of psychological conditions. She has a client centered approach and focuses on developing a strong therapeutic alliance and helping clients to improve the quality of their lives, what is important is relieving their distress, not merely their symptoms. As a family therapist of many years standing she works with a family perspective, understanding the strengths as well as the pressures that come from being a member of a family.
Edwina’s special interest is in treating trauma, and Neuro-developmental conditions, especially ADHD and high functioning Autism in adults. She recently was part of a group writing the Australian Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of ADHD, she is a member of the Australian ADHD Professionals Association and Chair of the ADHD Foundation.

With nearly 35 years experience in counselling adolescents and adults, Wal Kiris has the skills and experience to assist with a range of issues/problems/concerns.
Wal approaches his clients with a holistic perspective, particularly relevant to recent research showing the importance of lifestyle factors on mood and wellbeing. His specialties include; treatment of trauma using EMDR, Ericksonian Hypnosis, and adolescent problems and exam stress.

Teneille McGuire

Teneille McGuire works with adults and adolescents. Teneille's down to earth nature with an informal approach allows her to develop rapport easily with a range of people.
Teneille is a generalist Psychologist and has experience in working with a range of people with mood and anxiety disorders. She has worked with individuals who have experienced trauma.
Teneille’s approach and strategies are customised to the individual and their experience. She also has experience working with police, other first responders and teachers.
Teneille has completed regular Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander cultural competency training and has experience working with some members of the community and acknowledges the great people of the Dharawal land that she lives and and works on.
Teneille also has completed competency training and has experience working with LGBTIQA+ community and welcomes people from all genders and sexual orientations.

Eleisha Legg

Eleisha is a Registered Psychologist and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has over 15 years counselling experience working with men and women from all different ages and backgrounds.
Eleisha works with clients that present with a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, stress management, addiction and anger management.
Eleisha is also passionate about relationship counselling. She is focussed on assisting couples to improve their relationship and communication skills. She also assists couples to clarify uncertainty about the relationship and to work through conflict or betrayal. Eleisha also offers ADHD Assessments for persons aged 16 years and above.

Bronwyn Severino

Bronwyn has a special interest in neurodivergence (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder & Autism Spectrum Disorder) and enjoys working with this client group to help them achieve their goals.
Bronwyn also offers ADHD Assessments (Adults and Children) as well as Intellectual Assessments to determine a child’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses. These assessments evaluate intellectual ability and can help identify giftedness or learning difficulties, and measure cognitive abilities such as mental processing speed, long and short term memory ability, and attention functioning. This type of evaluation is invaluable in developing targeted teaching and classroom strategies to cater for the child’s individual learning needs. Cognitive assessments can also measure academic achievement to determine whether a child has achieved the age/grade appropriate skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and oral language skills.

Rachel Collins
B.Psych (Hons) Masters of Psychology (Clinical)
Rachel is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in private practice and Non-Government Organisations, in both metropolitan and regional NSW. Rachel has worked with adults and children with a range of difficulties and challenges.
Key areas of experience and interest include working with people who have anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as working people who are neurodivergent (e.g., ADHD and Autism). Rachel also enjoys working with people who have other issues such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Psychotic Disorders and may also be under the care of their GP or Psychiatrist. Rachel is also able to support people who are experiencing high levels of stress, periods of adjustment, or require parenting support.
Rachel believes in working alongside clients to help them reach their goals using evidence-based treatment. To do this, Rachel uses various techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Rachel will conduct a thorough assessment in the initial session and determine the best treatment option for your situation.
Rachel provides formal diagnostic assessment for ADHD and autism for people of all ages. She can also provide a clinical assessment for people who have mental health symptoms to provide a diagnosis, where relevant.
The most important thing to Rachel is helping her clients to feel comfortable within therapy sessions, as well as confident in applying skills learnt in therapy to everyday life.

Nikki is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology Degree at the University of Wollongong. Her ambition is to become a Clinical Psychologist in the future. Nikki values being warm and welcoming to all clients existing and new whilst providing supportive client care.
